Das 1369 erstmals erwähnte Gebäude stammt im Kern aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Im zweiten Viertel des 15. Jahrhunderts wurde es umgebaut und erhielt ein gotisches Spitzbogenportal, im 19. Jahrhundert wurde das dritte Obergeschoß aufgesetzt. Die Hauptfront weist zum Domplatz, die Rückfront, die die ehemalige Stadtmauer integriert, zum Herzog-Otto-Ufer. Im Inneren hat sich eine geräumige, kreuzgewölbte Halle erhalten.

The first building mentioned in 1369 dates back to the 14th century. It was rebuilt in the second quarter of the 15th century and was given a gothic pointed arch portal, in the 19th century the third floor was added. The main front points to Domplatz, the back wall, which integrates the former city wall, to the Herzog-Otto-Ufer. Inside, a spacious, cross-vaulted hall has been preserved.
