The Promise of Peace dove sculpture is the newest addition to the International Peace Gardens on the North Dakota/Manitoba border. The stainless steel work of art is the design of artist Arthur Norby, who was commissioned in 2014. The stainless steel sculpture shows two hands releasing a dove, the symbol of peace. It recognizes the friendship and cooperation the two countries have shared over the years and offers the gift of peace toward increasing good relations between the two counties. The sculpture is six feet in height and has a 5’ long dove in 4’ wide hands. It stands in the pond surrounded by 4 fountains at the head of the gardens.
