< DE >  Dieses Glockenmarterl wurde 1769 als Pestdenkmal zu Ehren des Pestpatrons des Hl. Sebastian errichtet.Es ist ein Tabernakelpfeiler mit einem Steinkreuz. Die Reliefs auf dem Tabernakel zeigen die Hl.Dreifaltigkeit, Maria Immaculata, den Hl. Sebastian und den Hl. Vitus. Dieses Marterl ist von einem offenen Holzgerüst umgeben und von einem Turm bedeckt, in dem sich bis zum Jahr 1915 eine Glocke befand.Bis zur Errichtung einer eigenen Kirche in Gugging war dieses Marterl eine Andachtsstätte für Greise und Gehbehinderte die sich an Sonntagen hier zum Gebet versammelten. Das Läuten der Glocke früh mittags und abends war genau geregelt. 1915 mußte die Glocke für Kriegszwecke abgeliefert werden.

< EN >  This bell wayside cross was erected in 1769 as a plague monument in honor of the plague patron of St. Sebastian. It is a tabernacle pillar with a stone cross. The reliefs on the tabernacle show the Holy Trinity, Maria Immaculata, St. Sebastian and St. Vitus. This wayside cross is surrounded by an open wooden scaffolding and covered by a tower that housed a bell until 1915. Until the establishment of its own church in Gugging this wayside cross was a place of worship for the elderly and handicapped who gathered here on Sundays for prayer. The ringing of the bell early at noon and in the evening was precisely regulated. In 1915 the bell had to be removed for war purposes.
