Marker recounts the history of the nearby stone foundation, which dates to about 2150 BC.
The marker, in Greek, English and German, also depicts some of the artifacts found in the ruins, and gives a "You Are Here" overview to place the ruins in relation to those from the ancient Olympics era.
Marker text reads:
Prehistoric Building (2150 - 2000 B.C.)
W. Dorpfield and F. Weege in 1908 uncovered a number of apsidal (apse-like) buildings belonging to a prehistoric settlement. The apsidal houses had stone foundations and date to an advanced to late phase of the Early Helladic III period. Apsidal House II, which contained very many finds, is visible today. Among them were many vases with foreign incised decorative motifs showing a connection with the CETINA culture of the Dalmation coast.
