Choteau Cemetery is in Teton County with a population of approximately 1,686 in 2016 and is the county seat of Teton County.

Choteau was incorporated in 1913 and is rich in agriculture history and more notable is the first discovery of dinosaur eggs in the Egg Mountain region and is part of the Montana Dinosaur Trail.

Choteau Cemetery is about 20 acres in size, with towering trees throughout the cemetery. It is very well maintained and there are some very interesting headstones, several war memorials and a veterans section. There are approximately 3,095 known interments. The cemetery was first established about 1883 with the first interment of:

Frank H. Burd who was born on November 2, 1857 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and passed away on April 5, 1883. He was 25 years of age.
