The Emperor Maximilian hiking trail runs around Seefeld’s Wildsee and offers visitors a wealth of information on the development of this unique landscape. The starting point for the thematic walk is located south of Hotel Seespitz-Zeit. From there, you walk south towards the ‘Reither Moor' where you follow the circular trail that will take you back to the starting point. Eleven information boards offer interesting information about the lake, the ‘Reither Moor’ marsh, the flora, fauna and climate, and also on the history of the region, the forces of nature at stake and attempts to tame them.
The frame stands near the end of the trail. The trail head is at N 47° 19.489, E 11° 11.495. Parking is available at the trail head. Access is available 24/7 and it's free.
