The National Guard Armory is located at the corner of 4th and Franklin Streets. This memorial is located alongside the north entrance to the building. This is the location of the Healdton Volunteer Fire Department.

This is a pink granite slab with rough cut dimensions. The inscription reads:

Healdton
(Fire Department seal)
100
Est. 1917
This memorial is dedicated to the
brave men and women who have
sacrificed their time and dedication
to protect the citizens of
the City of Healdton
To the past present and future
thank you for your service

The Fire Department web page gives this as their mission:

When I am called to duty, God
Wherever Flames may rage,
give me the strength to save some life
Whatever Be its age.
Help me embrace a little child
before it is too late,
or save an older person from
the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert and
Hear the weakest shout,
and quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and
to give the best in me,
to guard my every neighbor
and protect their property.
And if according to your will
I have to lose my life,
please bless with your protecting hand
my children and my wife.
