La Manu
Fr: Implantée sur ordonnance royale le 14 juillet 1819, véritable poumon industriel de Châtellerault aux XIXe et XXe siècles, la Manufacture d'armes a, pendant 150 ans, marqué la ville et sa population.
De 34 ouvriers en 1819, elle en compte près de 8 000 un siècle plus tard, surnommés les « Manuchards » durant la Première Guerre mondiale.
Il en reste quelques éléments dont deux cheminées datées de 1886 et 1887.
Dans cette ancienne usine on trouve aujourd'hui:
- L'espace patinoire, aménagé pour le confort des patineurs et des spectateurs, vous propose une piste de 475 m².
A la patinoire on patine mais on peut prendre des cours d'initiation, faire du hockey sur glace ou bien de la danse sur glace. Elle organise régulièrement des soirées thématiques et on peut y faire son anniversaire.
L'équipe de hockey , "les Lions de Chatellerault", fait découvrir « le hockey sur glace » dans un club à la fois dynamique et convivial.
- Le musée Auto Moto Vélo vous accueille dans un espace d'exposition hors du commun pour découvrir des véhicules de toutes les époques. Au milieu de l'architecture extraordinaire de l'ancienne manufacture
