John Wayne: King of the West used this parade rifle during the July 4th, 1776 Bicentennial Parade in Cody, Wyoming and was the Grand Marshall.
This parade rifle, a replica of a lever action, '76 "Buffalo Bill" Winchester and was used on the float. It now is on top of the Gunrunner Gun and Pawn Shop. It is about 15 feet long and was restored after many years being exposed to the elements. It was, in part, made of cardboard.
We were in Cody about three days and enjoyed every minute, also try the "Our Place" restaurant where they serve home style cookin and 25¢ coffee. Best Biscuits and Gravy in town, or even Wyoming.
