The church of St. Nicholas of Civray is a masterpiece of Romanesque art with, inside, baptismal font in gray marble veined with yellow and wearing coats of arms.
They are oval shaped with a copper lid.
This marble comes from the quarries of Bonnardelière, hamlet of the commune of Saint-Pierre and that the coat of arms are those of the family of the marquis de Cerzé, lord of the Bonnardelière.
