In the vineyards above Königswinter-Oberdollendorf stands a striking stone cross. It was created on 02/22/1987 by the stonemason and sculptor Karl Jacik. The occasion was the 50th birthday of the winemaker Josef Blöser, who grows his wine here.

The stone cross is about 5 meters high and kept quite modern. It stands on a pedestal, in which a picture of the ruined choir of the nearby monastery Heisterbach is engraved. Next to it you will find a coat of arms as well as the words "Lord and God thank you for this homeland". The date and name of the creator are also immortalized on the pedestal.

The cross stands in the vineyards directly at the hiking trail "Weinwanderweg Oberdollendorf". From here you have a wonderful view of the entire Rhine Valley up to Bonn. On the other hand you can see the eye-catching and higher cross from almost completely Oberdollendorf. A few benches around the cross invite hikers and walkers to take a break and enjoy the view.
