"A stone font, which contains the water used in the sacrament of Holy Baptism, stands by the main entrance to symbolise our acceptance into the family of the church. The oak cover, given in 1896, is carved with Jesus’ instructions to His disciples, "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not". "

The font probably dates from the 19th century restorations, around 1893.
