This is an extended-vision caboose once operated by the M-K-T Railroad. It is painted red, but is badly weather-worn and rusty, and has no markings. Its number #13540 is recorded on The Oklahoma List of railroad vehicles.
The caboose is standing on a piece of track behind the old, vacant M.K.T. depot north of Wagoner on Highway 69. There are plans underway to move and refurbish the depot, and we expect the caboose will be restored at that time, too.
