Apart from a three-panel door for the garage, and that is right on the footpath, while the rest of the brown brick bungalow style building is set back from the footpath by 3 metres, this could look like a residence.
Above the entry to the Fire Engine garage at the front, is a short flat white awning, with a rolling message LED bar above it. It was 'just' reading "Kurri Kurri Fire Station", in 10 cm high letters. This was covering the white painted lettering on the front of the gable of 'FIRE STATION'. Above the peak of the hip roof is a set of sirens, which no doubt warn pedestrians, and passing vehicles, that a Fire Engine is about to head on out.
On the south western side of the building is a concreted driveway to parking of the second Fire Engine.
