The town of Coupar Angus in the eastern part of Perthshire has a population of just over 2,000. The original firetruck was kept in a local garage until the current station was opened in 1962. It is situated on the A923 Blairgowrie Road, north-east of the town centre. Apart from the town and nearby villages, the station covers a mostly rural area with a large number of farms.
