"Also in June 1966, a railroad museum opened in what is today's Depot Restaurant. Final preparations for the first excursion train were reached in early August...The new DO Line and National Railroad Museum were off to a good start in 1966, but word came in July 1967 that the state was considering acquisition of DO Line property to make way for what was called the "Route 7 By-pass," or today's Interstate 88."
