Located just south of the south end of the Coos Bay Boardwalk is a small plaque on the ground next to a small tree that reads:
MILL SLOUGH HISTORY
constructed in 1921 to keep bay water out of central Marshfield (now Coos Bay). |
The Coos History Museum placed a dozen historical markers along Front Street to highlight current and former buildings and structures that once existed along this former business district.
