Napanee Fair Grounds are located at the intersection of York Street & Bridge Street West in Napanee, Ontario.
Grounds and buildings are property of Lennox Agricultural Society.
According to their website, the society "was established in 1832 by a group of people (who) wanted to improve livestock breeding and seed crops... A gathering place for the community to meet and share information and ideas". In those time, fairs were held in different places around Great Napanee Area.
In 1953, the Society purchased the land where the Fair Grounds are located right now, in hopes to build a bigger and better fair for the community. The Napanee Fair is the biggest fundriser and has a yearly attendance of over 12 000 people.
The society host a variety of events such as livestock shows, poultry competitions, 4-H shows and exhibits, home craft and baking competitions and so on.
Grounds and buildings are also rented for horse showmanship and riding competitions, tractor pull, demolition derby, Midway and live entertainment.
Regarding the pictures: these were taken on August 7th, 2018 on the Napanee Fair Beef Show 2018. It was a great show. 57 head of cattle entered into the show. Great representations of each section and breeds.
