A grave slab, or part of a coffin (lid), embedded in the wall, at the west end of the north aisle, in All Saints' church, Braunston.

It is carved with what looks like an axe, or maybe a sword(?). Along with some other faint ancient graffiti, it also appears to have carved in it a game of Nine Men's Morris (or possible Twelve men's morris variant) (visit link) . At some stage this slab must have laid flat, and may be associated with a stone coffin in the south aisle (visit link) , possibly incorporated into the wall during the restorations on the late 19th century.
