Morningside Park is a narrow strip of land, wedged between two creeks - Boomer Creek to the east and an unnamed creek on the west. There did not appear to be an "entrance" as such, or parking. We parked in the Stillwater Milling Company parking lot, and walked over to the park area.
This is a park to showcase Stillwater's history. There are no picnic or playground facilities - a simple walkway around several granite historical markers. One marker highlights the Sister City relationship between Stillwater, Oklahoma and Kameoka, Japan. Another tells the story of how the area was settled and first named Stillwater, back in the Oklahoma Territory days. A large granite marker commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Oklahoma Land Run in 1889.
