Thousands of tourists flock through here to get to the seaside pier, and take in the historical buildings and monuments. The Moseley Square is home to the nearby former Town Hall (now Visitor Information Centre), Glenelg Jetty, the Stamford Grand Hotel, terminus of the Adelaide to Glenelg tram line, and the Centenary Monument. The 11m tall marble and granite monument commemorates the arrival of British settlers in 1836.
