This type of wagon -- found pretty regularly in Texas -- was used used to carry hay and produce at various farms within the rural communities. A set of 3 iron arches and a white tarp/cover was sometimes added to ferry Texas Pioneers and their equipment during the migrations out West in the 19th century.
This particular wagon is now on permanent display at Henkel Square Market, a green space in the middle of downtown Round Top, which is surrounded by old wooden homes which have been converted into arts & crafts and antique shops.
Type and Quantity: One typical Western-style wagon, used by both Texas Pioneers and farmers in the area.
