There seems to be very little information online about this large cemetery in Boyertown. Even Find a Grave only gives the town name with no street address plus some pictures of the entire cemetery. The cemetery caught my attention as I was traveling through Boyertown because of the large military bear standing in front of it. Boyertown is famous for its fiberglass bears, about 70 of them, scattered throughout the town. They call it Bear Fever! The bear standing in front of the cemetery was placed there in honor of a young local man, Travis Zimmerman, who was killed in Iraq in 2006. So after photographing the bear, I drove up, up, up to the top of the cemetery snapping pictures along the way. I assumed that when I got home, I would find interesting articles about the cemetery but have found nothing except references to the victims of the famous Rhoads Opera House Fire in which 171 people were killed. 25 of the victims were burned beyond being able to be identified and are in a mass grave in this cemetery.
A medieval looking mausoleum sits about half way up the hillside. There is no identification on this building and no info that I could find online.
